Mathilde-Lætitia-Wilhelmine Bonaparte letters, 1850-1936, (bulk 1850-1904).

Approximately 150 ALS written by Princess Mathilde, many are on her embossed stationery, some with the Bonaparte bee in gold, to several correspondents, including Alexander II, Marquis de Custine, Cardinal Donnet, Théophile Gautier, Ferdinand de Lesseps, Duc de Morny, Général Exelmans, Maréchal Pélissier, Jules Janin, Eugène Giraud, and Baron James de Rothschild. Accompanied by clippings about the Princess, several of them written at the time of her death. There are also postcards of her house at Saint-Gratien, and portrait engravings.
